Magical Jelly Bean

So it’s happened to everyone – you’ve installed a piece of software, entered your product key, and stored it away somewhere so secretive, that even you can’t remember, right? Then there always comes a time when you need to install it again – you’ve either had to reinstall your OS, or you just got a new computer that you want to put it on – and you have no idea where the serial number is anymore. You’ve searched your entire house, twice, and still no luck. Well, now there’s a way to get your product key back, completely legally, so you won’t have to worry about losing it again. Welcome to Magically Jelly Bean’s Keyfinder.

This free program scans your windows registry and decrypts any product keys you may have used; Windows 95 through Vista and Office XP, 2003, and 2007. Installation is as simple as unzipping (try 7zip if you don’t already have an unarchiver installed), and double clicking the “keyfinder.exe” icon.
Keyfinder Folder
Keyfinder will pop up in a window, and show you a key for each Microsoft product you have installed. Write them down and try to keep them in a safe place this time.

    Jinny –
I just checked the page on my Tablet (running Windows Vista), and did not receive a virus alert. What virus scan are you running?

I can’t unzip my MJB keyfinder!! I just downloaded it but I can’t open it. It keeps on telling me:

    Compressed (zipped) Folders error
X the Compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted.

    Melissa –
Try redownloading the zip file. If you get the same error again, try using 7-zip to extract the folder.
